Paging programs are available to support most alphanumeric pagers, and are available for most popular operating systems (Windows, OS/2, Linux, Mac). You pop up the program screen, fill out the message, select the pager number, hit the send key, and the computer dials the paging service and sends the message. No messing around punching telephone buttons.
